| Text zur Anfrage | Subject: Offer for a desalination unit with a capacity of 400 m3 per Day Dear Sirs, we would like to make an extension for our desalination unit in Egypt Hurghada, Red Sea. The Plant was established in 1997. The production of the plant at the moment is 1600 m3/day. We would like to increase the production to 2000 m3/day. We need a 400 m3/day unit. The TDS of the raw water from the red sea is 43000 mg/l. The TDS of the product water should be less than 500 mg/l We have four units in the plant, the nominal production of each is around 350 m3/day, but as we take the water from a well in the nearby the water is not so salty like the sea water, this enables us to increase the production about 50 m3 per unit to make it 400 m3/day. The four units are identical and each unit has the following specification: 1. One high pressure pump with energy recovering turbines from CALDER in Switzerland HP-Unit with pump and Turbine, type HP125ALS/RO-290-40 Multistage Centrifugal pump Capacity 40 m3/h Discharge head 65 bar Material stainless steel motor power 110 kW Voltage 380 V, 50 cs including the following accessories - ONE LOW PRESSURE SHUTDOWN SWITCH on the section side to prevent Pump Operation at inadequate flow rate - ONE VALVE ON TKE SUCTION SIDE Material; PVC - ONE VALVE ON THE PRESSURE SIDE Material; stainless steel - ONE NON-RETURN VALVE On THE PRESSURE SIDE Material: stainless steel - ONE MANOMETER ON TME PRESSURE SIDE - ONE SAFETY VALVE ON THE PRESSURE SIDE Material: stainless steel - ONE MOTOR DRIVSN VALVE ON THE PRESSURE SIDE Material; stainless steel - HIGH PRESSURE SHUTDOWN SWITCH on the pressure side to prevent over pressure - CONNECTION PIPES Material: low pressure side PVC high pressure side stainless steel 2. ONE REVERSE OSMOSIS UNIT Product water flow rate: each 400 m3/d Conversion; 40 % Operating pressure; designed 65 bar operating temperature; designed 25 °C Consists of: - 1 STEEL FRAMEWORK FOR EACH TWO UNITS length: approx. 5500 width: approx. 1500 height: approx. 2000 material: stainless steel - 1 SET OF MODULES Membrane type: Filmtec SW 30 HR-380 number of pressure vessels: each unit 7 Total 14 vessel dimensions: diameter 220 length approx 5500 mm Vessel Pressure: 70 bar Number of elements/vessel: 5 total 70 1 SET OF SAMPLE PORTS to evaluate the performance at each module 1 SET OF PRESSURE GAUGES to determine the pressure drop across each module stage and the pressure in the product line 2 Conductivity measuring device with switching function 2 FLOW METER in the product line 2 FLOW METER in the concentrate line 2 flow control valve in the concentrate line to set conversion material: stainless steel COMPLETE PIPING SYSTEM Material: low pressure line PVC High pressure line stainless steel These are the main components of the unit. On sight assemply, start up and training of operators Customs and taxes or other fees in Egypt will be payed bu our Company over there. We do not insist on the technology what we have at the moment, it could be too old, but it has the advantage that we have the same equipments in the 5 production lines, which makes it easier with the apre parts. It is possible to accept a change in the technology, if it is cheaper, energy saving and easier and cheaper in the maintenance.
